What other materials can you think of that might be used in the future to make unusual roof shingles? Wouldn’t it be great if a lot of the junk we create could be recycled into some form of building materials? Not only would this limit the need for dumpsites and landfills; it would reduce the demand for some raw materials, so there would be a double benefit.
It may be impractical for now to move away from the more usual roof materials like asphalt shingles and metal sheeting, but there could be exciting times ahead for both roofing contractors and homeowners as new and innovative types of roof shingles explored.
